Hi, Picked up the Z on Saturday, nice car, had the top down a few times :D went for the smaller engine 2.5 but it suits our needs.

Just sold a Z at the beginning of the year but that was a Nissan 370z coupe, it had been remapped, air filters and Cobra exhaust. Another great car but we get older and I thought that it was time to grow up gracefully. Wrong! I could not live without some kind of sports car, I wanted a motorbike but the wife said no  a convertible it is then.

Looking forward to picking everyone's brains and seeing what they do to there cars although I have no intensions of modding this car.

Yesterday was spent cleaning, polishing, waxing and lubricating the door seals before winter arrives.

Cheers, Colin.bmw_z4_23i_sdrive_highline_edition_2dr_3208735[2508874].jpg

Very nice. Welcome to the forum. :D You can't beat a good seal lube, ready for the winter.

Welcome to the forum OP!

Lovely colour combination you have there!

Just curious, but I did wonder about a Nissan Z so would be interested to learn your thoughts on how they compare to the BMW Z.

Anyway stop cleaning yours and go and drive it a bit. :driving:

Hi Mr Tidy,

The two Z's are totally different, I had a 61 reg in Le Mans blue, manual, coupe, 3.7 V6 and I had it remapped. I now have a 61 reg 2.5 Z4 manual, hard top convertible. I think the 370z has a much better standard spec than the Z4, everything on the BM seems to be an added extra, touch screen sat nav, electric seats, cruise control, reversing camera but to name a few are standard on the 370, my Z4 feels pretty basic but then again it's a drivers car :driving:

The other thing that I liked was the exclusivity, not many around and you get a lot of nice comments from people. They also have a good forum with a lot of helpful owners and traders, well worth joining if you are thinking about buying one. I did not like the idea of not having a sports car and we always fancied a convertible, I'm not a lover of soft tops and the BM with it's hard top gives me the best of both worlds :D

If you need to know anything and I can help then drop me a pm

Cheers, Colin.

Cheers guys, it does look nice in white especially with the red leather. firebobby, is that what you do? also known as water fairies, water monkey's and whatever else they call us :) just finished my time in the WYF&RS :fuelfire: and the Z was a little gift to myself :D
