Another New Z Owner.

Hello all.

Took delivery of my Z4 last weekend from an Independent Porsche Dealer, I had been tempted by a Cayman, but saw this car there and the Z4 was secured there and then.

Christmas Break meant a slight delay before I picked it up, but I've learned to become patient.

Anyhow to the car, it's very well appointed and is a low mileage car. Alpine White with Coral Red Seats. Items like 19" V Spokes, Light Package, High Beam Assist, Nav System Professional, Front & Rear PDC, DAB, BMW On line, Comfort Access, apologies if some of these are standard features, I'm not fully familiar with all all the options on these cars.

Just love the DCT box, but I'm now stranger to Auto's of the Twin Clutch variety as I've owned a few DSG's, TCT's and ZF versions.

I'll post some photos at the weekend, the weather has messed those plans up.

I have a couple of issues which would benefit from forum members advice and will post those question in due course, such as iPod touch connectivity, BMW Online, replacement LED halo bulbs and replacement wheels centres.

Anyhow, glad to be on board and driving a little beauty, never had a convertible before.
 
Hi and welcome. Looking forward to the pics. As they are technically already overdue, you have until mid-day Saturday.

The only excuse will be a note from a responsible adult comfirming that you have been out driving it (which excludes most of the Forum members!).

My son has a Cayman S Manual, I tried a PDK Auto version, it was a good car, a hoodlum car and too frantic for me, the Z4 is almost as quick in a straight line, fantastic DCT box, and to me felt more refined, having owned BMWs before it was like coming home, plus it has the convertible roof and more kit as options so it was a no brainer.

Maybe go for a 4S in the future, but for now I'm more than happy with this car.
