I am seriously thinking about a Z4MC and have been reading the M section for a few weeks and keeping an eye on the adverts. I previously owned one from new having driven one on a BMW fahrer training course held at Mugello and been very impressed, we were expecting to drive an SMG E46 and were surprised to be told at the briefing the night before that we were to use the then new Z4MC (the instructors, including current Z4 racer Claudia Hurtgen, had I believeonly driven them for the first time the day before and described the car as a bit less forgiving than the M3 and they were of course left hand drive manuals.

I have been a big fan of M cars having owned an E46 M3, E46 M3 CS, E92 M3 and E92 M3 comp pack.

I only had the Z4MC for a relatively short time as I needed more space and a car which could carry a bit more stuff when visiting family (children and grandchildren as I am an old git) in the deep south of England (I live in the Scottish Islands). I dont currently have a real M car as we now need to carry a wheelchair. I am running an X5 4.0 diesel which is very able at what it does but not for fun. Cant justify spending a fortune on a second car for fun but Z4MC seems to fit the bill so hope I can find a good one.

So thanks for all the useful info found in the forums so far.

Hello and welcome! Nice pics. I would think that a Z4MC would be great fun on a Scottish Island... lots of nice open roads! Like the X5 too...

Welcome. Sounds like you had the perfect introduction to the Z4MC all those years ago. What a day!
