Hello,

A brief note to introduce myself. Over the past 8 years I have been a regular poster on forums which cover, BMW E30, MGZS180, TOyota MR2 Mk1, and as of last Saturday when I bought my new Z4 Coupe I find myself here.

I have already insured with Chris Knott as a result of my first visit here, so it's already saved me a little cash, thank you.

My car? Nothing special, nor will it veer from standard much over the coming years, however it is an '07 SI Sport Z4 Coupe in grey. Very good condition, FBMWSH, with new springs and Pilot Sports already fitted, so the previous owner clearly knew what he or she was up to.

A non-standard interior was requested from new however - a black and light grey stitched leather dash, with piano wood by the gear stick and M-sport seats/door cards to match.

It's been raining since I picked it up so I have not taken the driver aids off, nor has my finger ventured near that tempting sport button.

It's a very different drive to my last car - the MR2 MK1 which was a hoot to drive, but whilst I have somewhat less feel through the steering in the Z4, it is power-assisted so I emit less grunts when parking.

Nice to meet you and I look forward to being in touch over the coming months no doubt.

Pauly

Very nice - welcome

Thanks for posting pics with your first post. You cannot believe the time I spend chasing newbies for pics!

Enjoy the Zed and the forum :driving:

Thank you for the welcome and kind words.

I lied about modifications - late last night on a garage forecourt the foam nearest the bulkhead was pulled out of the sound generator. All good fun.

Very smart looking interior - nice find.

Don't be intimidated by that sport button - I run mine with it on constantly as it gives a more instant response which you might enjoy and in my view enhances the Zed experience. The driver aids are a different matter however and you are wise to leave them on especially this time of year.

Oops, a bit late but welcome to another coupe owner.
Hope you find yours as entertaining as mine has been.
Those seats look great by the way!

The interior is Silverstone Anthracite Bi-Colour. And it's lovely!

Welcome aboard.... :)

Love the individual interior! My personal fav on this car is like yours but with red instead of grey but still looks great! Well done on picking a coupe with decent rubber, it's £600 - £700 if you do yourself :(
