Lol,
Can't wait for Rick Hunter to see these
Ok I had 4 lug nuts laying around, So I thought instead of spending a stupid $19 per pin at leatherZ
http://leatherz.com/Merchant5/merch...de=S3WheelPin&Category_Code=SafetyConvenience
Id make my own,
No they might not be as nice but Free > $40
So I cut the heads off the lug nuts, grinded a small notch for welding,
Then found some straight steel rod I had around the shop and went to town,
Then I took the grinder to the welds and this is the finished product,
I didn't bother to polish it up or grind the welds smooth as this is a home made tool but I thought you might like to see

They are straight, They look a little weird in the pics, Probably the light,
and ignore the "work towel" lol
These are so dam handy when it comes to taking the wheel on and off,
BMW sells them, They come in the tool kit from the factory from other models,

But as you can see its a plastic end and it doesn't really secure very well,
It just "hangs" in the lug nut hole and it would have been better if you could thread it into the hole,
and it costs money where my little rods were free lol
Well, thats it
I have more useless mods on the way  (although this one was quite handy)
