Another front bumper bracket query.

As seen in the images below, there is a slight sag on my front bumper (driver side) that leaves a noticeable gap between the lower part of the headlight and the bumper (circled in red)

This sag was prevalent before I put the aftermarket headlights in and I wonder if the bracket has been deformed from the previous owner trying to remove the bumper, or whether the part of the fender that it connects to has been bent?

I want to know before I order a replacement bracket, as it may just be part of the fender that can be bent back.

Hopefully someone is familiar with this particular sagging and knows the cause!

Thanks in advance :)

PS: please ignore the paintwork, it's on my ever-growing to-do list

Looks like the rubber between the wing and the bumper rather than any deformity.

Doesn't look too bad and the gap is normal.

It's never a fender! :poke:

That's not rubber, it's the edge of the notorious bumper clip;

And the gap under the headlight isn't as bad, but the bend in the plastic is extremely visible, I'm inclined to believe the part of the fender that it clips into has bent, as I feel like the plastic would've simply snapped rather than sagged if there wasn't something holding it in that position.

Ahhhh!

It's still not too bad and might just be warped with the age of the car.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it.

If you're going to take the bumper off make sure you have new ones as they'll probably break!

I took the bumper off last weekend without breaking them, but am I right in thinking replacing this one will get rid of the sag?

I'm going to need to take the bumper off again soon anyway to fit a wheel well liner and new headlight jet caps

Don't ask me as I didn't know there was a bracket until you let me know. Also don't get my hands dirty!

I've taken the front bumper off a lot, never broke one of those clips. They are not as bad as everyone says, but you gotta pull in the right direction and read the tis before doing the removal.

Hey Jare, hope you are now an expert as I have similar issues I posted about here: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=121168 :D did you ever solve the sag fully or just leave it?

Also which after market headlights did you go for out interest and would you recommend? My drivers side fails to adjust with the dial in the car or move up and down when I start the engine, had a look round the back but cant see anything obvious that would cause this so may look at replacing.
