So it just came on after I got a mile down the road.

Should I give it a few runs to see if it goes out or just swap out the Lambda sensors?

Can someone point me to where they are located and a part number at all? Please say it's not an exhaust off job!

You need to read the OBD information to find out for sure what the error code is. Buy a cheap reader of Flea-bay (about £40) that allows you to read and reset the codes; you have a Z4 so it's part of the maintenance kit for the marque. :D
You'll probably find it's one of the two O2 sensors either side of your CAT not tallying up with it's partner which is usually a fuel issue and absolutely nothing to worry about.
Just get the reader foe piece of mind.

That's what I was first told many moons ago.

£25 from bmcables, saves you a fortune. Not quite sure why you'd just go straight into replacing things without knowing what codes it was throwing... :?
