Went to visit my favourite Dyno boys in Sunderland today.

We dynoed V10 stage 2+ vs V9 stage 2+ and also V10 satge 2+ with airbox lid off ie no intake restriction and lid on but no air filter to see what impacts. Essentially no air box buys you 8 bhp and no filter buys you 4 BHP.

V10 although no peak horsepower had over 100 nm (at the widest point) more torque.

Looks like the stock turbos at 55k miles at those levels maybe running out of puff.

Pictures, charts here and video link here https://youtu.be/KCey71mGIBk

Thanks for sharing that B21, it is very itneresting data.

Do you have any idea why there is a Tq/Power dip at 6600RPM? Looks like it is not due to the remap as stock had a similar behaviour. Intake pulses matching a specific RPM range?

Edit: Just wacthed the video, it might be the shift happenig at the end of the pull :?

Yes the xHP re-map of the DCT seems to shift up..its all over by then anyway. The dyno operator could have popped it in to Sports+ mode then under the xHP revised logic it wouldn't have upshifted.

I think at 400 bhp the 55k mile turbos are just running out of puff. It is a stock OTS tune so if you were interested you could maybe tweak it..for me its a stock gap measure pending the TTE500s going in, probably now post the summer hoonng season..so I'll just have to limp on with 400 bhp and 650nm of torque..I'l put a 'please pass sticker' on the boot along with some 'P' plates..as I'm not a very good driver.

Do you have a limited slip diff fitted??
I have been trying to find a quaife lsd but that are not listed on their website right now! Seen other options but always want the best.
At 400bhp plus it’s a mess without one lol

Yes, Quaife..FAB  :driving:

I got mine in August 21, part of the issue on the 35i is that they need to machine the crown wheel off to fit the LSD.

Generally 35i diffs are like rocking horse poo..it’s unique to the E89 35i only (DCT at least)

So that’s why they weren’t listing them..you have to source your own diff for them to work on.

So you can either take your diff off and send it to them..it’s about a 10 day turnaround or you find a second hand one for them to work on.

I’ve got my original diff which I’m about to eBay / Forum sell

You can feel the LSD working away as you boot it, there’s a slight yaw/yaw feeling from the back as it keeps feeding the power across.. it’s doesn’t actually move but you can feel it through the car and steering.

I think on greasy roads it would be close to lethal although the DSC should save you 🙈

Is this on a stock inlet etc?

It is at the moment..I've got a set of 2" end to end plumbing to fit with the TTE500s (except the turbo outlet pipes which I think I'll now get as I've deferred the fit till the autumn).
