Another Dutchie

I bought my Alcons from UUC motorwerks, they're 4 pot BBK's with calipers the same as used on the supercharged Ariel atoms. I'm using 328mmx28mm Performance Friction pin drive discs which are actually replacements for the E46 M3. This way it will accept 17 inch rims.
The PFC discs are superb, no warping whatsoever, even after running through several sets of track pads from Hawk.

Of course it will accept M3 discs as well, but given the stock diameter 325x25mm on your 3.0si they should work fine. It all depends on the pad thickness then. You can shim out the calipers with a shim less so it will fit the 325mm disc. I'm running the .680 pads, but if you use the .730 pads, they'll accept thinner discs as well. Contact Rob at UUC Motorwerks in the USA, to save on shipping, they can ship the BBK kits without discs :-)

Well, prepared the car for some fun :-)

Looks like a Pistonheads logo on the bonnet - going on a run ? Looks awesome, though hopefully temporary :D

Yup, Halloween :-) Quite a pain in the ass putting on the red and black before putting those teeth on. The Zed is quite a curvy car :-)

Not much happening due to the winter, but I put the summer 108's back on and gave the Zed some TLC by having it relieved of some door dings by a paintless dent remover :-)

Small update,
installed new Performance Friction floating discs paired with PFC's 08 compound endurance brake pads (alcon 4 pot brakes). The do need a bit of heat to work well, but they seem to be quite rotor friendly and stop it very good. I haven't experienced any fading so far, brake squeel is acceptable. Slight squeeling, but nothing freight trainish like Carbone Lorraine RC06/Hawk HT10.

And while I was at it, it was that time of year again, so went for the Halloween run in London and finished it off with a Welsh roadtrip :-)
