Another Aux Thread

I know this has been posted about over and over again, but I haven't been able to find a good solution for the pro nav in my 2003 Z4.

I use an Android phone with Spotify. Ideally I'd like a bluetooth audio (a2dp) setup, so that when I get in the car my music starts playing from where it left off. I had a Dension in my last Audi which worked exactly like this, except I'd also really like to get track names up on the screen.

I realise I'm never going to get the perfect solution, but if anyone with the pro nav system has found a good setup, please tell me all about it!

I've just ordered this Car USB MP3 AUX Bluetooth Handsfree / Speakerphone Carkit CD Changer Interface for BMW E39 Z4 E85 E83 X5 E53 -2 from Amazon. At £69.90 it's substantially cheaper than the devices from Dice or Dension, so I thought it would be worth the risk. There are several similar devices on Amazon, but this looked like the one most suited to my 2006 Zed.

The supplier is evidently German, as the first thing I received was an email containing a Rechnung (always sounds like a villain: "it is ze time for ze reckoning, Mr Bond"). I'm hoping that this means they know what fits a German car - but that the installation instructions are in English.

I'll post a follow up with my experiences installing it and an assessment of the result.
