Another Airbags issue

Well I’m at the end of my tether I think. I’m not gonna put it all on here but just to keep current stuff about my permanent, it seems, airbag light.

Essentially, I’ve changed the left satellite module, that was not able to be programmed because of the control module. I’ve replaced the control module, and now the reader cannot communicate with the car. So I have put the old control module back in to see what happens, and I’m now being told about a voltage fluctuation.

I can’t remember, I think it was that exact wording, I thought my battery was fine and it’s not too old and never gives any issues. I can’t work out why the replacement module cannot be seen. It came off a working car and was compatible according to realoem . And if the problem is actually the battery, then surely that would’ve flagged up before.? So I’m going to leave the centre console out now and hopefully will have time to find a miracle cure.

I guess I should check the battery voltage in the morning, but… (Just checked and it’s 12.26v without starting car)
1/ Could the battery be responsible entirely or is it that I have a replacement module that is no good as well as a battery that no good? 2/ If the battery shows less than 12v should I just change it anyway? And
3/ can I without BMW registering the battery?Answers on a postcard!

Well the airbag control module is dud, tried it with a more advanced scanner and no airbags were visible at all, put the old one back in and it showed up again along with the door ones.
