Annoying squeak from driver's seat

Anyone with any experience of seat squeaking every time car goes over bump when cabin warms up? I think it is at least partly down to seat base leather rubbing against plastic seat base.

Has anyone else experienced and then cured this problem?

you just need to pack out the gap...i used a thick piece of cardboard wrapped in black duct tape..about a 6x2 piece tucked in between, its not the prettiest solution but you dont really see much of it and the new found quiet in the cabin is worth it

Try a squirt of a silicone based furniture polish up in the noisy area, mine was the seat back rubbing against the rear wall and it cured it. Worth a try.

Definitely try the above - I used some GT85 over the weekend on my driver's seat and now squeak free - feels thousands of pounds more expensive from just a few blasts!

For me it was the plastic trim by the seat controls rubbing on itself/the leather - all sorted now

I had a similar creaking seat a few years ago and managed to sort it. Link to thread http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=56764

The annoying squeak in my car always emanates from the passenger seat. Solution is to leave her at home.
