Angel Eyes

I feel a bit of a plank asking this, but here goes!
How do I get the angel eyes to light up ‘every time’ I unlock and lock the car. At the moment when I unlock the car, on occasions they light up. When I lock the car they never light up.
I have the ‘headlight’ switch on AUTO.
It’s a 2024 with ‘i drive’, can’t remeber exactly the setting I have the lights on through the ‘i drive’.
I checked the manual but no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.

I do think the E89 has a bit of a space age, space ship, look about it from some angles. Great way to blend in.
