It’s got a green plastic cord attached to it..

For once I didn’t pull it to see what happened..

Any ideas?

I have a complete assembly lying around if anybody wants it.
It has the solenoid for the locking pin, cable and the little green plastic thing. It came out of a Z3 but I will bet it is the same as Z4 ones, apart from may have a different electrical plug connector.

Many thanks, nice to know this, I had a 3 year old Vauxhall Zafira that the solenoid packed up on and I was panicking getting to the garage to have it sorted with the fuel level getting lower and lower.

Yeah happens all the time on the Audi/VW platforms aswell
