An end to the Roadster/Coupe war?

well don't say the hand wasn't offered :)
the coupe brethren can now sit back & look forward to the winter tales of woe from you leaky roofless coracle owners :

The roof doesn't leak though - that's the e89

I am basking in the glory of my new roof motor - went to a rugby meeting tonight, top down dark time hooning there and back, perfect starry night. Ace

when do you think the first " i,m worried the snow will ruin my roof ? " post will be :poke:

No idea - I live in Kent and have a garage, snow barely happens here and my car will only see it for fun hooning :D

An interesting idea. From a practical standpoint, it wouldn't exactly look like a coupe because the mating line would have to follow that of the E85 boot lid. Also, the gasket needed along the mating line between the boot lid and hood storage would damage the paint, unless one permanently installed some kind of abrasion resistant trim strip at those locations.

So it seems quite doable to me, and looks much better than the OEM hardtop. I rather like that it couldn't be exactly like a coupe.

Never the less, being a proud roadster owner, I wouldn't want to do anything that could in any way give coupe owners any smug satisfaction that I'm trying to be like them. :P

And regarding snow. Bring it on. I don't care. You stay drier driving top down in snow than driving top down in rain! The top will operate down to -20 for a reason!

The Spoon hardtop for the S2000 was just like this:

thats one fugly looking car with that "thing" on top!

I kind of like it, would look much better with different wheels though.

It looks kind of like a bristol fighter from the rear :)
