Bit confused about where the amp is. Ive got the speaker system with the speakers behind the seats.

I thought the amp was meant to be by the battery. Instead ive got a med kit there even though theres another med kit under the passenger seat.

Am i looking in the wrong place or do i just not have one?

Yep in the boot.

If you have an amp the carpet on the bulkhead will have a bulge in it on the left hand side. Although bt or tv will also have the bulge.

Shouldn't have a bulge on a coupe. It's mounted behind the carpet panel beneath the roller for the parcel shelf. I thought I had a picture that I took when installing my Intravee, but couldn't find it. A quick search brings up the following. This one's an M, but you can see the amp, it's the black box to the left of the battery.

Different on the ///M because the battery is in the boot, not under it.

You need to remove (in order):

-the battery tray carpet cover
-the plastic tail light bulb covers (twist 90° to unlock and pull out)
-the plastic piece that surrounds the boot catch, that holds the warning triangle (4 phillips screws)
-the plastic trim that goes meets the C-pillar, boot rubber seal and carpet (just pulls out - several clips hold it in)
-the horizontal plastic trim that sits in front of the C-pillar (this is so you can access a fixing for that piece of carpet)
-the carpet in front of the battery tray piece (two push-fit plastic fixings - use a trim removal tool for these)
-the side pieces of carpet that cover the strut tops (these have a push fit plastic fixing by the rear light, and have L-pieces of carpet that slot into the bulkhead carpet, and the push fit fixings under the C-pillar as mentioned above) - these are quite sturdy and unweildy, and they pull out by twisting around the joint at the bulkhead, towards the centreline of the car and upwards
-the carpet cover for the bulkhead (this is attached with a push fit plastic fixing per side, and slots into the underside of the parcel shelf roller)

This gives you access to the amp, BT module, CD changer and TV module (depending upon what's fitted). It sounds worse than it is, once you're used to it anyway...

I know - on a non M the bulkhead carpet is still flat though.
