Am I over paying?

I think its a fair enough price,with its mileage and assuming its in as good as expected condition for age/miles.
As for the extras,i personally wouldnt do without the m-sport seats,as i find the std ones poor/but each to their own,as some ppl are more than happy with the standard ones. its just a personal thing.Likewise some ppl are happy enough with the std stereo,but again personally didnt want anything less than the dsp hifi.
I like my htd seats in my M roadster,but did fine without them in my 05 3.0i for over 5yrs(inc much winter use as well)..so,as said.....dont get too worried about these things.
if u like the car, get it and enjoy it if the (lack of)certain options doesnt bother u then dont worry about it. as mentioned,u can always add a few things if need be

I don't think you're paying too much - I sold my 2003 3.0i for considerably more - a friend of mine who knew the car bought it and is over the moon still - it was very low mileage ( 29k ) and virtually mint. Low milers will always command more money particularly if they are in good condition . You get what you pay for !!

Phil-E30 - you sound like I felt when I went ahead and paid what I thought was over the odds for my car - you'll likely find other cars that you think might have been better buys and then prices which seem at odds with what you paid - and I still keep looking!
However - unless you feel you've been dreadfully ripped off - and from what you can read here on the forum you seem to be ok - then you begin to feel good about your purchase as you enjoy ownership. Then a few years on depreciation will eat up any money issues anyway.
Finally remember that you have purchased a lot of car and performance for the same amount as another person loses in depreciation when they drive their new(er) car out of the showroom. Enjoy your Zed!

Mine's on Eibach springs, 30mm lower than standard springs and 15mm than the sport springs I had taken off. I've got 15mm spacers on the front and 20mm on the rear and they suit me just fine. IIRC Marius has gone 5mm more front and rear. Oh, and 10mm lower.
If it has only 39k miles on it there's a good chance it's spent most of it's life in a nice dry garage only being used on dry summer days. OK the battery may have suffered but this is a big plus for roof motor and hood fabric condition aswell as the potential for any body corrosion.
If the condition is right the price is OK though I'd be trying to get at least a little bit closer to £6k.

If a car has been out of the garage frequently enough to do over 100k miles in 7 or 8 years then it follows that it has been out in all weathers and this takes it's toll on other parts of the car.
When I was looking I viewed several cars with green tide marks round the hood fabric and some even had bubbling paintwork here and there. When I finally viewed the one I took home it was a world apart you could see straight away it had been a garaged summer use only example.
