Am I missing something?

Recently purchased E86 and created some room in the garage to get it in out the rain and try and find where my water leak is coming from. It’s definitely the windscreen/headlight washer system as I marked the reservoir earlier and the level has dropped (on the floor :rofl: ) over the last few hours. Looks like I’ll need replacement fog lights too. All that’s missing are the goldfish.

While I had the bonnet up I noticed this bracket on the drivers side (circled in red) and wondered ‘am I missing something?’ Looks like something may attach to it :scratchhead:

I’m well aware the engine bay is badly needing a good clean. It’s on the list of jobs to do.

I've used it to hold a bracket which supports an old style AA badge which used to belong to my aunty who took to the roads in the pre driving test era. It's a kind of a mascot I suppose although I am a member of the AA myself (the motoring one).

I have like a round breather assembly of some sort on my 2,0 litre z4. Not sure what it is or what its for...

I think it is the Emission control-air pump mount...
