Hi,

Should there be silver trims over these exhaust tips or is this normal or maybe even an aftermarket exhaust? Thx

Seems to be a standard 2.2 / 2.5 pre-fl back box to me. You can buy OEM chrome trim pieces though, they will increase the looks of your Z4's bottom.

Hi,
Those are the normal factory exhaust tips and many have oem or aftermarket chrome tips installed on them. Some have polished them instead.

Look so much nicer with tips on. I was lucky enough to pick these up for £15. The now famous Machine Monkey Stainless exhaust tips. Other makes available

I've got a set I took off my exhaust, going spare.

They make OEM exhaust trims for the Z4. Guess if it makes your Z4 look how you like it's worth the extra few lbs. :)

thanks for the really kind offer but I've already ordered some off eBay.

I finally got round to fitting the trim pieces I got from eBay, but they don't fit.

I think I'm using RealOEM correctly. The part that it showed for my 3.0 is 82120151088.

This is also the part number that I purchased from eBay, but they look more round than oval. I didn't want to force them as I may need to return them.

I'm not sure if I just need to man-handle them a bit to get them to fit.

Yep the trims are round, even though the tailpipes are oval on pre-facelift cars. Have they got the bolts underneath to tighten on the pipes?
If not, then they're not genuine.
Post-facelift trims are push-fit but the tailpipes are a different size. And round.
