Am I imagining things???????

Decided to fit the DISA kit I got from i6 yesterday.

I found the flap to be a bit "flappy" but nothing too serious. The worrying bit was on all the videos I had watched, removing the pin involved prying it out in some way . I was able to remove mine with my fingers....phew!!! looks like I may have caught it in time.

Back to my imagination, took the Zed out for a spin today and she appears to be a bit more peppy and responsive. Even though the disa didn't appear to be too bad in it's operation. Am amazed at the difference..... or is it my imagination playing tricks on my addled brain.??

My pin was perfectly stuck in but my flap wasn't working, it had broke free from the lever part so was just spinning freely

Curious they dont make one for th n52, is that due to the new design of the disa on n52?

Think so. I took mine out in my 3.0Si and it worked perfectly. That was about 75/80k miles IIRC. I did a 'how-to' for it at the time.

Mine seemed to be in perfect working order when i replaced it, so much so that the pin was that tight in it was a complete bitch to get out. However i noticed a better response as well. I just put it down to the new seal as my unit was a bit baggy coming out of the manifold but a nice tight fit going back in! I suspect a lot of ageing disa valves are actually causing a slight air leak as the factory seal gradually fails.
