Hi all,
Was out for a nice blast yesterday get home with a loud rumbling from under the bonnet!!
My thoughts immediately turn to the vanos but after further investigation with the old screw driver and ear trick trace it to the rear of the alternator.
Ok so I checked with the stealers who want £703 to change it for something I know I can do and can get a bosh one from euro parts for £340.
So my question is does anybody have a how to or ideas how to release the tension on the belt and what torque the new bolts need to tightened up to?
My z is a gorgeous 2006 3.0si black on black in case it's not below which stuck on the drive in this weather
