Alpina Roadster S

Welcome aboard, and good luck with your search.

I think you'll need to be patient, or maybe lucky, as there aren't too many about - probably not many with that sort of mileage that aren't black.

Definitely looking for a bit of a unicorn. There are only around 140 to 150 RHD cars left on the road, the majority of which are black. The youngest of these are near enough 20 years old now so there will be very few of those 140/150 cars with less than 70k on the clock.

My guess would be there is around 10 or 20 cars in existence that meet the OP’s requirements. Might get lucky but could also be in for a long wait.

No need to guess...

I last updated these figures at the end of September, but they'll do for now...

167 RHD vehicles were produced for the UK market:
- 2 were never fully registered with the DVLA
- 11 have been scrapped or exported
This leaves 154 that are currently registered for use in the UK

Of those 154, 12 are currently registered as SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification), so are not currently taxed for road use
That leaves 142 currently road legal (no surprise that you don't see many driving around)

142 vehicles have had an MOT test in the last 3 years (including 9 of the currently SORN'd vehicles). The number of vehicles having an MOT test each year is pretty consistent although there is some churn as it's not always the same vehicles that are tested.

Annual breakdown for MOT tests
- 2022: 122 MOTs
- 2023: 127 MOTs
- 2024: 105 MOTs (to end of September)

The average mileage, taken from the last MOT test of each vehicle, is 72,400 miles, and just over 50% have sub-70k miles. The average is only creeping up by 2-3k per year and most of this increase is driven by higher-mileage vehicles.

As for the colour mix...

66 of the RHD cars were one of the variations on Black and as neither of the two cars that were never registered were black this equates to 40% of the 165 that were actually registered.

I can't be bothered to slice & dice the data at the moment, so I'll just assume that %age carries through to the 154 remaining cars, which will leave roughly 92 non-black cars.

Given the figures above, we can make a quick estimate that there are currently 46 non-black RHD cars with <70k in the UK
