Having reached the grand old age of 80 I am considering letting the Roadster go,

Is this a bad time to move it on or better maybe hang on till next spring?

Any ideas on what price I should be asking-Saphire black 70000 miles, full history and recent MOT

Just had new oxygen sensors and full health check at Sytner

Welcome any comments

£11781 valudation from Motorway, so add 2k so it would be 13.5 - 14k.

Unfortunately you will have bought it at the peak last year.

Prices are sliding down at the moment but it is obviously a guess if the recession is going to be worse next year and therefore causing more of a loss.

To get a fair indication you would have to detail the condition of everything and also the spec. Pictures help with determining the condition and a better guess of the value.

Baseline you can also do a motorway valuation using the plate and add a few thousand.

You will need to add more information about the car, including the following - Service History and bodywork, colour of the interior. It might also help to give the Model number of the Alpina. Photos of Exterior/Iinterior would also help.

Feel sure that there would be loads more questions that people will ask.

Try the Alpina Register. There are a couple of people on there who will know more about your car than you do. It's quite incredible really.

I think there’s currently 5 up for sale (including mine tentatively) which is a little unusual. There’s normally only 2 or 3 at any given time.

I think the hike in Utility bills and the Ruskies invasion have pegged back last years rampant prices.

I’ve had a few enquires on mine but only for them to Peter out when the prospective buyer has said they need to speak to the wife !!

Stop letting them speak to your wife then.

While there are plenty of higher milage Z4s of all types at low prices, low milage select models are quite strong, of course April / May is likely to be the highest price particularly soft tops. A rare car like an Alpina in very good condition is not going to be cheap, but the usual rule applies, it’s only worth what “someone else” will pay
