tb7u9e7f.jpg

BMW-number Valve Cover Gasket: 11 12 0 034 108 (it's from M52 engine as of year 09.1995)

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Do you have a link to the German Alpina forum or pictures showing the damage caused?
are there any known cases of engine death and if so is it preceded by any warning?

Thanks

Mick

Here is a you tube video that I found helpful when I removed the vanos on my e36 B3 recently, I guess that it is pretty much the same procedure.

At minute 23:15 he removes the VANOS nuts.
Thanks for the video, it is nearly the same job for the Roadster.

No. Only a link to the forum: http://www.alpina-forum.de/forum/index.php

Yes. So Alpina wrote my VIN onto the invoice. So they know exactly, which car has changed them. Some people interested to buy a car with this engine are asking Alpina, if VANOS nuts were replaced.

the cases I know - there were no warnings. One owner wrote about a "rattle" - but it was too late for his engine.

Sorry for my bad english
