both JL audio and about 7-8 months old , looks new as in pictures
was installed in the centre console of the car but it can be installed where ever you like as i've included the brackets in the sale
spent about £780 including installation , where the amp , wiring and sub was about £600

both amp and sub retail for £385 at the moment

so will be looking at £280 including mainland UK delivery or collection from AL10

how does it sound, assume you have the bmws pro head unit and standard speakers??

sounds quite good but my settings were for crystal base not deep base

if it's a mono amp I take it u lost the sound from the 2 main rear subwoofer speakers behind the seats as you would need a 4 channel amp to get all 10 speakers working as well the additional subwoofer. Great setup though mines in the boot I didn't think of ripping out the centre part good idea they do this with sub install on e46 convertibles

Absolutely fantastic sub for such a small footprint!

OP, consider putting that sub into a sealed enclosure before selling it on, it may be able to deliver what you're looking for!

@NeilP - question on this, would this sub and amp combo make a nice addition to standard speakers or would you really need to upgrade the OEM stuff also. Thanks D - I have an e89 with standard 6 speaker system and professional head unit.

should have more than 6 speakers surely mine is older E85 has 2 in footwell, 4 on door and 2 behind each seat makes 10 speakers im sure e89 had 11 speakers setup

You don't need to upgrade everything else and you can just add a sub and amp to the existing system. It's just a question as to where you get the signal for the amplifier from.
