Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good place to get all my wheels refurbished?

I live in Hertfordshire uk, and want a good job done before the zed is sold :(

Many thanks

Nick

I have just had my wheels powder coated at a company in Somerset. They normally work in the MoD market but branching out as that market is dire at the mo.
As I say did my 108 wheels with powder coat chrome on the rims and a flash chrome/shadow chrome whatever you call it on the stars.
The finish is unbelievable and Im so happy with them.
However I cannot give you costs as you need to contact them direct. They will also pick up and deliver if you think it is a but far to travel.

Hope this helps

I had a quote form a bloke yesterday for 70 quid per wheel!! and this was for taking the rims off the star spoke 108's and putting them through a machine to polish them??!? seems a con to me as i thought a full strip back etc was the normal precedure??

The rims are the only bits damaged and that means slightly kerbed, lacquer coming off with some slight corrosion on one of them so just the rims need doing to be fair but i would asume they need the full job done on them?

My local BMW quoted £60 a wheel :o

Has anyone repaired a curb damaged wheel for so little and been happy with the results? I mean I can't imagine BMW would do (or outsource) a shoddy job, but seems too good to be true

Try Bjv engineering

They're based in flaunden and charge £180 for all 4. I chose them when I had my wheels refurbed in Jan. Their refurb process includes acid dip, blasting, prep and powder coat. So it's the proper way rather than a smart repair :) And quality was brilliant

Second this I used them a few years ago on an Audi set of wheels ,very good, but tricky to find the workshop as I recall !

Yep I can recommend them too, definitely use the directions on their site if you want to find the place!
