All happening at Stafford Services this afternoon

Called in to the services for a coffee and saw this beauty come in just after me with it's own support car

First time I have seen one in real life. It was stunning and soon attracted a small crowd. The drivers were returning from Monaco where they had watched the F1 and were on their way back up to Glasgow.

Can't park for toffee mind!

Soon after they were joined by friends in a Lamborghini.

How many people do you suppose it takes to put the hood up on a Lamborghini?

Even the AA were on hand to help. Still took everyone at least 10 minutes to get the hood up :roll:

...and the driver couldn't park either!

Doesn't feel anything like another beemer when you're in it. I don't think pictures show how low/wrapped-around it is. The sills are massive too - like a supercar.

Lol funnily enough I was only just down the road with work. In all honesty I'm unsure I would enjoy the i8 anymore than the Z3 Give me a Z8 instead

Yep, MOT man.

He also has a 640 and an x5. Oh and an Astra Van. I can confirm that it looks and feels like no other BMW I've been in, the cills are massive and the doors amazingly light.

Saw one on the road a couple of weeks ago heading in the opposite direction to me.

And it lacks a boot. Literally... There were two at Duxford. One of them brought a bucket with cloths to wipe and polish the car. The bucket was all that could fit in the boot; pathetic. The way the doors and seats are designed you'd also struggle to get any suitcase onto the backseats so the car is completely unfit for any travelling or shopping.

Performance is alright but it comes from a shitty 3 cylinder. Tank is tiny so you'll have to fill up every 2 hours and fuel consumption is not great either if driven normally...

Looks nice though; sat in a few at various places. Still think at there are much better cars at that price.

I have to admit I love BMW cars , the only one the wife likes though is the E89 shape which is why we have one surprise suprise , but I do think the i8 though it is a technological success ,for a £100,000 visually does not get me as aroused as say an M6 or M4 Cab .the i8 looks like something from an X Men or Avengers assemble film my daughter and I sat in one at Ryebrook Warwick a few months ago , did'nt really do it for me ,sorry folks to pee on someone's parade ,
