Just seen this on the v-max Facebook page. Apparently due to a problem with conrod bolts. Ouch! Lucky they've only delivered 783 of them.

Not sure if the pushing the envelope is to be applauded for such a high revving high power motor, or the potential lack of quality control and testing is to be criticized.
 
Having 2 friends that received theirs around christmas (1 is now famously dead). From the communication that the remaining owner has had it pretty much sounds like they don't have a clue what the issue is or rather they have found so many potential causes they have just decided to change the whole thing.

I'm sure the £20k premium they were fetching will be gone. Said friend with the remaining car is keen to get rid of his now. Not purely because of all this carry on, more he has much preferred the 981S that Porsche gave him as a loaner.

In terms of engineering, an S2000 has almost the same power per litre and revs higher...... and it's more reliable than most dogs.
