Aldi are selling this https://www.aldi.co.uk/car-polisher/p/010847253266500?utm_source=Aldi&utm_medium=Email&utm_content=Header&utm_campaign=OSDEmail04022019&sap-outbound-id=AD1470A780453FD059BE64A55B301F5090A98F34

Not sure of quality but at that price worth a punt

Good spot and whilst it will be branded something or another it will be from a mainstream supplier. I wouldn't mind betting that will be a good buy. Also noticed they are doing their battery maintainer which I know for a fact is a good bit of kit but I also know the Ctek brigade couldn't contemplate that deserted.gif

Sod the ctek brigade I bought a Chinese thing for mine for 15 quid that makes it look primitive. Which it actually is. :D

Looks like a rotary rather than DA/Orbital polisher. You can do a lot of damage on your paint work if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Thanks, that certainly seems to do it all

Rotary is no where near as scary as you think, take your time, keep it moving, keep the speed low and you'll be fine. Im sure this basic machine will do everything you require of it.

The problem with cheap rotaries is the speed settings and sometimes lack of torque, the rpm is usually far too high even at the lowest setting.

maybe john... havent really used one of these before, for my rotary needs i use the rupes LHR19e which can run down an unreal 100RPM on its adaptive trigger.

As above tho, keep the it moving , prime the pad properly, maybe get a test panel and you'll be shocked how much of a good job even the most basic of polishers can achieve. GL and enjoy the process!!
