ALARM SYSTEM - unexplained triggering

My Z4 Coupe is coming up to being three years old and recently the Alarm has been triggered for no apparent reason. This has happened on three occasions over the past two weeks.
Has anyone else had the same problem?
Any assistance will be much appreciated.
 
99% certain it is the bonnet switch. Had to replace that on my X5 as well with exactly the same symptoms, also when it was just over 2 years old.
 
I have a 2004 2.5i se - I had this problem. Try a bit of WD 40 on the bonnet alarm switch - its near the bulk head between the two strut braces. If this doesnt work - replace the switch or it will carry on and become really annoying.
A temporary fix is to press the lock key twice when you lock the car, it disables the movement sensors and the bonnet sensor.
