I changed the bonnet sensor last year and it didn't make any difference. I thought I noticed it more when the car was on an incline, but couldn't always reproduce it.
Recently I suspected that it returned because of the high winds and have read of the tilt sensor, but disconnected the bonnet sensor to be sure.
The alarm still triggers with it disconnected so that is a lesson learned and I will reconnect at a later date.
Two questions:
1. If I disable the internal sensors, do they remain so permanently or do I have to disable them each and every time?
2. I read that the tilt sensor under the oddments tray is difficult to get to, how would I get to it?
