This has happened twice now (first time I didn't realise it was MY alarm) Woke up at around 12:30am to a sound like a not to loudish alarm clock 'bleep'. Looked outside but couldn't see any hazards flashing on anyone's car. After much searching I realised it was coming from the zed. Got the key, pressed unlock which stopped it then pressed lock again and went back to bed. 2 minutes later happened again. Same procedure over and over for the next 5 minutes. Eventually went outside opened both doors, boot and bonnet then locked again and hey presto that stopped it. I have experienced this alarm sound before when I jacked the car up whilst it was locked and a few nights ago when I didn't realise it was MY alarm , but it only went off once then went quiet. Do you think a sensor is a tad sensitive?

I think you might find its the bonnet sensor.
these appear to be the first ones to fail first or become defective in some way.
i'm sure other will follow shortly with their findings.
you could try isolating the interior sensor by pressing the lock button again directly after locking the car with the remote. look for the clown nose to confirm that the interior sensor has been disabled. its in the owners manual how to do this.

Aw thanks guys. Didn't realise you'd want any help questions so early on a sat morning but I think neighbours would rather I got this sorted. Anyone know if its normal for the alarm to activate when you jack the car up whilst locked?

Yes, that's normal as the alarm has a tilt sensor too.
Check the bonnet switch as suggested - it's what it was on mine. The bracket can move around too and end up being lower than it should be, resulting in the switch not being activated when the bonnet is shut.
You can rejuvenate the switch with wd40 too.
The red LED under the rear view mirror is key to diagnosis.
If I remember correctly - if you press lock and it flashes constantly straight away then you've got a door/boot/bonnet open. When I was fault finding mine I pressed lock, saw it flashing and then immediately pressed the bonnet down a bit where the switch is and it stopped flashing. Thus = bonnet switch.
Also, if you come back to the car and wonder if the alarm has gone off while you've not been there, if you look at the LED when you unlock, if it flashes 10 times in quick order then the alarm has been triggered.

Strange.. Just opened bonnet to find sensor not connected..wonder if its been playing up and been disconnected by previous owner or indie..the mystery deepens!
Alarm's been quiet last couple of days till this morning. Mrs rang me at work to say alarm going off all the time. Only thing I did this morning was open the boot! Is there a sensor in the boot lid? I've now locked the car with the key rather than the remote and touch wood alarm hasn't gone off. Spoke to indie who after suggesting like you all the bonnet switch also said something about a battery warning alarm. Trouble was it was such a bad line I couldn't hear him properly. Got to put it on computer if new bonnet switch doesn't work
