Alarm Issue E85

my alarm has been going off all afternoon, it is a little breezey but nothing excessive, Checked the doors and boot and reclosed the roof and all closed correctly. Anyone got an ideas as to a possible cause?

Faulty bonnet switch.

The test is to unplug it, if that solves the issue then change it - about £12 from BMW.

Bonnet checked and fiddled with and alarm hasn't gone off again yet so fingers crossed. Cheers Marius

Got a code reader? It'll tell you what is activating the alarm.
My alarm started going off and it was the internal sensor. So I've now disabled the internal sensor and I can now not worry about the alarm going off, even when the roof is left down.

yeah i have a code reader, it has stopped since giving the switch a wiggle. Will check the coding if it goes off again.

You can just uplug the bonnet switch. The alarm is just fine without the switch connected.

Cheers d3matt if it does it again i will disconnect it until i can get it replaced
