Alarm & flashing indicators

Hi all when i lock the car 90% of the time the indicators continue to flash and This lasts upto 15mims at minute but can be 2mins . Has anyone else ever had this problem ? There’s no aftermarket alarm just the bmw key ? Don’t really want a visit to main dealer or auto sparks but thought I’d ask here before resorting to above. Very annoying when you park up and everyone runs over to say lights are flashing mate ..

I'm presuming this is an E85/86? Have you tried locking the car with the key, as in the key in the door lock and leaving the buttons alone?

Locking this way doesn't arm the alarm, if the problem stops then it's likely a direct alarm issue, in which case the bonnet switch is a good place to start, and a cheap and very easy fix.
