Airhorns

I've had a couple of near misses with phone zombies recently (especially near tube stations).

Normally when I see one of them walking and they look like they're going to step off the kerb, especially if they're wearing hoodie and probably have limited peripheral vision as a, result I give a quick bip on the horn. Unfortunately the noise cancelling headphones that seem to be more popular appear to block car horns (or mine at least).

My zed's horn works fine, so that's not the issue - has anyone fitted airhorns (not playing la cucuracha or colonel bogey) and if so where did you mount them?
 
Why go to the added expense to save some ignoramous? Run the feckers over! :o :lol:
 
I find it therapeutic to wind the window down and shout profanities and insults, works for me :thumbsup: Not nearly as good as smashing the heavybag for a few rounds mind you. :thumbsup:

I don't want to risk denting my zed (getting blood off isn't a problem though thanks to the amount of wax I put on it)!

The pedestrian safety bonnet stuff will deploy, saving you from manslaughter charges and softening the blow to the bonnet. Win, Win! :D
 
Had another one recently - driving along, traffic lights changed from amber to green, woman sees me and walks out in front, lights now green and she gets three quarters of the way across, blocking traffic on the other side then beckons her kid across who ran out of a shop door way - completely oblivious to the risk of her kid getting run over or that she'd chosen to obstruct two lanes of traffic!
 
Talking of horns, the ones on my z4 are a mid anaemic…. Kind of meep meep. The ones on my 440 are more barp barp….

What are yours like ? I did wonder if only one of the horns is actually working but didn’t want to test it out with my neighbours. I suppose I should pop out to the nearest council offices car park and test it there…..

I've not notice any issues with the horn mine, seems pretty strong!
 
Few issues on that ebay advert - buy two horns to double the volume - it's been a while but I don't think sound/volume calculations work like that.

I guess we're just going to need Dave to do a YT Video on it. It would be startling to hear a powerful train horn from a Zed!
