Hi. A few weeks ago the sat nav stopped responding - constantly thought I was in a field. Having tried everything including reloading the latest software I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes and then hooked it back up. This fixed the sat nav, but the air bag light now doesn't go out.
I've tested the occupancy sensor for both passenger and driver, and both trigger if seatbelts are not engaged so I'm leaning towards the fault code being potentially resettable.
My local garage say they can do it, but just wanted to check whether there could be anything else causing this, and does it always need resetting if its a loose cable for example? My local Indie always maintains every fault code needs resetting, but the brake pad warning sensor and steering angle sensors have both triggered in the last year and reset themselves after the offending issue was resolved.
Just want it sorted as sadly the car is going up for sale - the time has come for rear seats and a big boot! Ugh!
