Hello you lovely lot!

My airbag light came on the other day just as the MOT ran out!! :headbang:

Can anybody round Essex way help me reset it?

I was gonna just buy a Reset Tool but I have to sell the Zed soon so it seems a bit of a waste :(

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers,
Dean.

I have the same issue, i dont think the reset tools you buy on ebay work though, i think you need the BMW INPA software :( i am planning on getting mine sorted out ASAP hopefully a forum member can help you out :)

Yea I'm afraid so mate, not happy about it but it has to go
Youve had the Zed 5 minutes and done quite a lot of mods, why you selling Sausage?

Yea I know mate, spent a lot of time n money on the wee Zed, but unfortunately It has to go

It a second car and I won't be able to afford to run 2 cars when me n Mrs Sausage go our seperate ways :(

These things happen in life.

New beginnings to come for Sausageman. :)

I'll have to cook my own Sausages again.

So funny that day after the meet when I got home to Sausages for dinner!

I've crunched em a few times and I can't justify 2 motors at the moment so it's the Zed that has to go. They're nice toys though so you never know, I might well be back once I've sorted myself out.

You're a good bunch on here.

I can do it for you, I have all of the diags etc. Drop me a PM and we can sort something out. You'll need to know why the light has come on though, just resetting it won't work if there a fault somewhere.

Of course, I can read the codes as well if needed.

I'm in Upminster btw, so only down the road.

No problem at all Ben, no need for financial incentives. Drop me a PM and I'll send you over my number.

Dean (Sausageman) popped over for a bit of diagnostic magic and sadly I had some trouble getting his airbag light cleared. I know the E85 has a funny Safety module that gets in the way of communicating with the Airbag but didn't realise it affected the ability to read some of the codes.

I've just downloaded the latest INPA so I'll have a go on my car and see if the new version of the software makes any difference. All a bit confusing, and disappointing really. This is the first BMW I've seen where the diagnostics couldn't do a complete job.

Thanks Stratts, let us know how you get on with the new software

Were you able to find out what caused deans airbag light to illuminate?

Not specifically. It just came up with "32 - Airbag" when I interrogated the module. Basically telling me the light was on due to a airbag fault, but not identifying exactly which one or why?
