Airbag light on

I'm sure this has been well covered, but after having the battery disconnected yesterday I now have the red airbag light on. How do I remove it?
 
You need BMW software to do this. Dealers obviously have it, many independents have it too, as well as sophisticated owners, thanks to flea bay.
 
Thanks Neil. Was talking to Rich (ranski) yesterday - he said he may be with you next weekend to fit a diffuser. Weather-permitting, maybe I could drive over?

I'm up your way tomorrow, have a 10am meeting at Abbotsholme school so if your free at lunch I could bring laptop and cable.

I'm just about to order this cable/software to reset my own airbag light:

How easy is it to scroll through the menus and find where I need to go to reset?
 
Ok leave it till next weekend then.

As for for software etc, you need to install DIS v57 and run diagnostic then bottom right function and scroll through functions and read memory in each section and clear memory. This should clear any issues and include air bag light unless you have a fault.

Thanks. I don't have a fault, just forgot to connect one of the cables before turning ignition on. I'll follow your instructions and PM you if I get in a bind. Car is in storage till Spring, so no rush to fix this.
