Airbag light on

Calling [ref]colb[/ref], [ref]bigwinn[/ref] and others. I have the airbag warning light on in the E85 as a result of removing the seats, either removing/installing with battery connected, or connecting the battery while seats were removed.

Do you know whereabouts in the C310+ or INPA menu the fault code is and whether it is easy to clear?

The good news is I have resolved a long-standing issue with the trifecta of orange lights / error 5E40 (steering angle sensor implausible) with a fix in Toolset32. Happy to share and will post this up separately.

Hi mate

Colb is probably your man but:

I'll try to go from memory on INPA

Select car
Select safety modules

That should give you 5 (ish) modules I went into all of them to clear codes: from memory there were issues in 'Safety Information' which I reset but then found other codes in one of the other modules in there

Some of the modules show as empty and thats fine

Make sense?

Much appreciated thank you, I’ll have a go this evening after work.

Think you will find the airbag module on the Creator 310+ in the Body menu after you select the model of the car you want to scan, once in there you see a list of the airbag system modules mine was the left satellite module that triggered my fault when I switched on ignition with the seat out of the car and disconnected. INPA and BMW Scanner failed to clear the code but the Creator cleared it first go once I found the left satellite in the menu.

Cheers guys, you are the best.

I had three fault codes on the satellite, b-pillar, left and two on the right. INPA cleared them all although I had 310+ at the ready just in case

All lights now clear, I can go get an MOT

Good fix with INPA, wonder why it couldn't clear mine when I switched on with the seat out, Creator 310+ managed it so happy enough to get the light off and its not returned.
