airbag deactivation retro-fit? baby issues!

ok chris post back for me please and fill me in on the kit, baby due date is may 8th if everythinks ok and we make the danger period ;-)

Yeah no prob  My little one is almost 10 months now, so need to get mine sorted, then the missus can stay at home

Called BMW today, and they said £65 for the retro fit kit, and 3 hours labout at £125 an hour! :D Umm, so got my mate with autologic seeing if he can do it. I can install it, but need it programming. And has to come from Zee germans due to it coding to my key.

Got my local indy, which is Brystone BMW (Rich) which will fit the kit for £140 all in, and program it etc. So £140 to him and £75 ish to BMW. So will get it ordered and report back, but being as the key has to be done to my spec, then it may take a while.

Sorry to revive this older thread.

Retrofit kit is easy to get. Have your dealer installed it for you, and mention he shouldn't bother with the new shifter fascia or drilling a hole in it. The button is not a button, but an indicator. Just keep it hidden somewhere under the dash. The actual deactivation place is on the side of the dashboard, accessible when the passenger door is opened.

I got it on my Z4, and don't regret it.

yeh i already hooked this up ;-) great little mod!! luckily my TT has this also as well as isofix so ill use that as my baby wagon, my new family car should be here soon...... ;-)
