air tight closing of hood

Hi,

I dont know if anyone has come across this already but I have a small gap between where the hood meets the passenger side window. 2003 roadster model. The hood opens and shuts as it should, and tightly latches at the front. There are no water leaks inside.

The gap is small, but you can slide a postcard thro the space between the hood rubber and the glass window.

As expected, at speeds, there is noise coming from this less than air tight seal!! It almost seems like the window doesnt go 'up' enough once the door is closed.

Does anyone else have the same issue or Anyone have any ideas as to how to adjust the window or hood to eliminate the space.

Thanks

try to do a window reset and see how it goes. from memory, it is from full up position, press down until fully down. hold it there for about 5 secs. let go and press down again for 5 secs. then put the window up

i have a lil hole on the back part of my window but it came after my window collapsed into my trim and i put it back on its rail. i havent had time to sort it out yet but the instructions above didnt fix it.

Sephanite thanks. I took instructions off my TIS CD/manual i bought off ebay and reset the window. It is better, but not perfect. Maybe it is supposed to be like that!

Thanks again.
:)

Age of the car? Had mine in twice for this and it's now perfect (warranty)

oops 2003 - i never found out the part they ordered for mine, but i now have extra seals.. looks a little clumsy if you look closely, but it's so quiet id much rather have it.

Andy thanks.

I dont mind if it looks a little clumsy, cos I do a fair few motorway miles and it is annoying at speeds. Its not too impressive if I have a passenger with me when driving along and having to raise our voices to be heard!

I'll try the local dealer if they know of this 'extra seal', in the meantime if you do come across any details about this part number that'll be fantastic.

Thanks again. :)
