Air noise when engine is switched off

Hi all

I have tried to search for the sound my engine makes but couldn't find anything that matched, so apologies if this has been discussed before.

When I turn my engine off it has started to make a few noises round the air box, a few different suction noises.

I cannot remember this happening until recently.

My car is at RBM next week and wondered if anyone would know what it could be from experience, so I can pre plan for any work to be done.

Here is a link to a video of what is happening.

Edit: forgot to say its an 03 2.5i

Thanks for reading

Both of mine did/do that

I think it’s the vacuum coming off the DISA valve when the engine stops

Unless someone says otherwise I think it’s ok?

Thanks Bigwinn

If it is the Disa valve I already have that being replaced next week

It's just the vacuum, mine does it. It's far more noticeable with a big cine filter too. Should be nothing to worry about, my disa has been rebuilt.

I had some air noises which went on for a while after ignition off. It was an air leak that was sorted after I replaced the pcv valve and associated hoses.

Thank you, will get them looked at as well
