Hi all I have a 278c error code using Delphi Diagnostic software . The code says : Air Inlet Temp Sensor Intermittent. Is this Air Inlet Temp integral to the MAF sensor housing . Or am I looking for a separate sensor somewhere away from the MAF sensor location.
Many Thanks Rob

What year and model is your car?
Have a look on the oem parts site and put last 7 letters and digits of your vin number and have a look at whats fitted to your particular car.

Just ahad a quick check on oem to have a look at my 2003 2.5, looks like mine is part of the Maf sensor, nothing shown in the airbox where I wouild have expected to see a sensor for air temp. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partgrp?id=BT32-EUR-07-2003-E85-BMW-Z4_25i&mg=13

Pelican Parts Tech article on Maf replacement describes the unit as having a temp sensor built into it so looks like its a duel function air flow and temp. https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/BMW_Z4M/06-FUEL-Mass_Air_Flow_Sensor_Replacement/06-FUEL-Mass_Air_Flow_Sensor_Replacement.htm
