Update - looks like a trip to the dealer

There seems to be a fault on the CANBUS which is preventing the system from activating. When this fault is cleared the compressor starts but then the fault reappears again and shuts it down. This could be caused by a fault in the air con control unit although all the switches/LEDs seem to work as expected.

Latest update - just back from the Dealer

Apparently there is a fault with the instrument cluster which has caused the problem. Although they seemed to have cleared it and it's working OK now, they have told me I need a new instrument cluster which will cost approx £800.

I think I wait and see how long it lasts first.

No noise what so ever! The only symptom was no cold air.

Just picked up my Z this morning from dealer and my problem was that the firewall junction o-rings were leaking (bad). They were replaced and system charged up, now working like it should. I need to look this one up to see exactly where it is.
