Air Bag Module compatability

I have at last found the component that was killing my K BUS, it was the airbag module - thanks to all those members who offered advice.

So I am seeking a replacement module, I have been offered a module by "Handy Andy" - but I have a couple of questions that I need to clarify before taking Andy up on his offer.

1. My module No. is 65.77-6935920 from a 2003 (2.5L) E85 whilst Andy's is from a 2005 (3L) 65.77-6939811 - is this going to be compatible?

2. Does it matter if the module has been activated in an accident?

I hope somebody can throw some light on this please.

The part number shows that it superseded yours, you might have to have it coded to the car using SSS software retrofit as some parts hold mileage data.
 
I've got an airbag module I'm selling, it came out a later 03 2.5L (mines an early 03 so didn't work). I'll check the part number a bit later and let you know
 
The one I've got is 65.77-6938264 so won't work I'm afraid. I was in you position looking for the same unit as you, spent 4 months looking for one and in the end had to get a new one from BMW cost me £600 :cry:

Is there anyone in this forum who knows Aj1 that can find out if he still have this one?
