Agree or disagree?

Ahh, just googled it.
The tw@t says you shouldn't be doing it, as it's not essential during the lockdown.
When queried he said not even on your own drive.
I'd suggest he needs to book himself an ICU bed, cos some irate car owner who's only break from the tedium is to clean their car, will soon be putting him in hospital.
What an absolute knob!

If you live in a very built up city and you are washing your car on the street with a few people passing by he may have a point as the 2M rule could be hard to maintain.

With common sense applied no more risky than cutting the lawn or working in the garden it is contact with other people not washing your car.

As it was a Q and A with Piers Twat Morgan it carries little value for me, in my situation.

So for me my car will be washed as and when needed with care to keep away from others.

What he actually said was you shouldn't be washing your car if it's parked on the road. It was a response to Piers Morgan question of whether he could wash his Aston Martin in the street.

Please stop sensationalising EVERYTHING :headbang:

If you have a driveway and can maintain the social distance to others, it's perfectly fine and a good exercise activity both for body and mind

Someone posted photos of their nicely washed car on the street (on this forum) a few days ago. I can't remember who it was, but I had the same thought about why you would wash a car in the road at this time.

He’s got a point to be fair, if it’s a still day wind wise then that’s a lot of virus floating about your area for a long time as you wash, folk walking past even in the middle of the street are very much at risk as this bugger travels a long way airborne. A little common sense is needed as to when it’s a good time or not to wash methinks.....(SIGH..) common sense.....that antiquated old fashioned part of so many people's brains that seems to have been surgically removed as a part of the birth process nowadays.... :(

More drivel.
I’m sure some of these idiots must be sat there thinking of something controversial to come out with.
Maybe they should concentrate on doing something useful instead of looking for topics too create controversy.

My Z is parked on the street so that is the only place i have to wash it and I have done so twice during lockdown. No one has said anything negative, only positives. I have been careful to keep an eye on people coming down the pavement and myself moving out into the road for them to pass if they haven't crossed the road already. Luckily its quite a quiet road so this isn't a problem.

Berate me if you will, but I won't be stopping it (I'm by no means a detailer so just wash and dry for me). I already can't dive with my own personal air supply which is one of the only things I enjoy. Yes there is the possibility of an issue, but as others highlighted, so is there with DIY, running, cycling etc and don't want to stress the local hospital which is currently at less than 50% capacity....

Can you tell I'm a bit bitter about it?

This is the sorta thing that will cause friction between the Government/Police and the people should it be implemented (which there is no sign of at the moment)

Well whilst out on an essential outing and happened to pass a jet wash....there was a queue for it. No one is listening to Hilary
