AGM Battery...

When i bought my M in summer the dealer fitted a new battery to the car and gave me the receipt in the service wallet for warranty purposes..

Anyway,i have been having troubles with the clock/date and OBC randomly resetting upon starting the car,but recently it had become more and more frequesnt to the point the reset was needed everytime.

Made a call to my BMW tech mate who said it was battery showing signs of low charge...So i got into the battery department to see what was going on. The new Bosch silver battery had been fitted as expected.
I removed the battery to find that it was the incorrect ampage(55a) and CCA (560) rating and was a normal lead/acid battery instead of the reccomended AGM battery..

I called BMW and they wanted £186 + VAT for battery with 2 years warranty... :o :o

I hit the net and found the correct battery for around £150 with 4 years warranty.. :D

I then called the local factors who we use armed with prices..

Ended up getting Bosch AGM with 70A and 770 CCA with 6 years warranty!!.......£120 all in!......Result!....

Car now sorted :)
