Has anyone fitted aftermarket parking sensors ?

I have got sensors on my wife's car and frequently drive hers, I think one day I am going to forget I am in the Z4 and roll into something.

I had these recommended to me but wondered if anyone had done it before and how difficult it is ?

Seems expensive, i bought some cheap off ebay £10.
Fitted to a van.
Worked ok, they had a bleeper and bar graph display.
I did find it annoying after a while though.
Never bumped my Z in 9 years so can't see the point.

I have these front and rear:

I was advised by a couple of garages to go for Valeo.

Never needed to change sensors on the E89. However, my old E53 (2005) eats these frequently - I go for eBay replacements at around £14 a pop and treat them as consumables.

Fitted these to my wife's focus CC a few years ago. Very easy to do on her car because there is a black plastic thing running along the bumper underneath. So didn't need to remove anything. They work well and look good, sit flush, very pleased with them and still work 5 years on. On the Zed you will need to paint them to match the bumper of course and I think you will need to remove the bumper to do this work. Wanted them on my E85 but found I don't need them as the back is so close to me I haven't had trouble yet and not needed to parallel park yet.
