Aftermarket head unit and steering wheel controls.

Hi,
I’m looking at fitting a new heat unit to replace the ancient pioneer iPod jobbie that’s in there at the moment.
I’ve decided the Pioneer MVH-X560BT RDS (link at bottom) unit is probably my best bet since it has all the features I want, relatively minimalistic styling and a plug in microphone so I can replace the OEM one in the steering wheel cowling.
My car has stereo controls on the steering wheel and it’d be nice to be able to use them, there are a good few adapters on the market though! Has anyone got any experience or recommendations for these?

Also, my first post so hi!
I’m coming to the Z4 (2004 3.0) after owning MX5s (mk2 and mk1). I was looking for a 2 seater (or 2+2) on the sportier side of the scale. While I was tempted by the RX-8 for its extra seats, the fuel usage and looming engine rebuild scared me off and I ultimately decided on the Z4.
I’ve very happy with my choice, the performance is fantastic even if I am getting too accustomed to the acceleration. The economy on a run, when driven sensibly, means I’ll always want to take it on a trip or driving anywhere really. The cabin is so much nicer than the mk1 Boxster, infact I think the whole car has a timeless look to it. Oh and those rear wheel arch haunches when viewed in the wing mirrors: phwoar.

One of the first things I noticed , always liked the look of the z4 but it looks even better looking out from inside!
