Aftermarket halo headlights not repairable

I was curious to find out if the halo's inside those aftermarket headlight units were replaceable if they ever stopped working. Here is the answer I just got back from one of the sellers:

Well, there goes my interest in buying one of those sets

Edit, with picture. I think they're pretty much all the same everywhere

It probably is repairable, same way they can be retro fitted to E85 headlights...

Isnt this the case with all cars that have led lights, including the facelift e85/6 with its LED rear lights?

yes, although I would think (and hope) the build quality was better on the OEM's

Just bought a set of those in black @ less than £300 delivered with uprated bulbs, if they last 3 years it's still better value imho. Worst case is I'll just disconnect the halo function as the halo itself is not obtrusive and as said I'm sure they can be repaired just not obviously designed to come apart easily, but then if you can de-ginger a normal light I'm sure this would be no harder!

:D

Odd, on my halos on my previous X5, I just replaced the bulb with a LED bulb.

So I'm reliably informed although you lose auto adjustment on the xenons/hids if that's what you had!

that could be an issue as i thought it was mandatory for xenon's to auto adjust

If these are xenons then it seems a good way to de-ginger (if that what your into) or to upgrade from non xenons.

Yes but these are not xenon just normal halogens! (unless you fit xenon bulbs or and HID kit of course!)

They do an HID/XENON kit in the states but they driver on the funny side of the road.
